There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that is more life-changing than the first moment that you rest your eyes upon the tiny life that has finally been born into your arms. Your world shifts sideways and will never again be the same. Now begins the most intense, amazing, worrying, joyous, and exhilarating journeys of a life time. A journey that meshes together the souls of parent and newborn baby into a bond that is unique like no other.
When I am given the privilege of capturing this bond, holding still these precious fleeting moments between you and your baby, I can’t express enough how this makes me feel. Honoured, blessed, thankful… I truly do love what I do.
The launch of Evoke Art has been absolutely crazy with much work still going on behind the scenes, so as such, it has been a little quite on this blog. But the more time I spend working away behind the scenes the more I’m missing doing what I love most. I miss being surrounded by the anticipation of nervous, excited parents-to-be, and moreso the love and joy that fills the air when I see them with their new arrival.
So it’s time for me to feel this again, and starting creating! So, I’m excited to announce a casting call for newborns.
Here are the details. Casting call sessions will:
- Have the session fee waivered (valued at $110)
- Receive a complimentary 8×12” Desk Print (valued at $70)
- There is no obligation to purchase further prints or collections, however they may be purchased at regular rates with regular terms and conditions applicable. Please contact me for details on pricing.
- Be intended to capture a particular image or series I have in mind – so that will be the priority of the session.
- Sessions will be held in studio.
- Require a model release to be signed by all participants on the day.
Most importantly, all babies must be less then 10 days old at the time of the session.
Places are limited to the first three to respond. I will be spreading these sessions out over the coming months to leave room for clients wanting standard sessions, so I am looking for babies due in August or September.
If you book a pregnancy session at the time of answering this newborn casting call you will receive the pregnancy session at a reduced rate of $50 (valued at $110) with a complimentary 5×7” Desk Print (valued at $70).
